ABOUT US

Capital Area Mopars (CAM) is an incorporated, non-profit organization for car enthusiasts. We are in Canada's Capital City, Ottawa, Ontario. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in Chrysler vehicles, ownership is not a requirement. Members' cars cover the spectrum of cars and trucks from the '30s to the 2000s, 6 cylinder to hemi power.

A major event of our year is the hosting of an annual all-make car show The Evolution of Wheels, held in July at the Science and Technology Museum on St. Laurent Blvd.

The Club started out in 1985 under the name Capital Area Rapid Transit Association (CARTA). In 1989 the process to incorporate the club began. The Province would not allow the name because they thought we would be confused with the bus company, so the name was changed. CAM is now a division of the Eastern Ontario Chrysler Owners and Enthusiasts Corp., a registered Ontario non-profit corporation.

CAM Monthly Meetings

UPDATE: Lately we've just been meeting at Montanas restaurant (various locations) for a laid back meeting, more like a social gethering. It's great fun and seems to be attracting a large crowd. If you plan to go, let Tim know so he can reserve ahead for all of us! The formal meetings were just not working and are no longer what the membership wants.
